I never saw myself actually participating in CrossFit workouts because of my various injuries until i was brought to CrossFit Bluestone to try a workout. I didn’t know it till then that there was a version called Level Method CrossFit.  I love it now that i know about it and have been participating just short of 2 yrs! This form has variations of the WOD’s that break down into your level of athleticism.  And the coaches here help ya out greatly with tips on how to perform better and overachieve whatever goals u set.  And the other members all support each other out as well.  It’s a great community that i’m glad I became a part of CrossFit Bluestone and wouldn’t give up for anything now. -DK

 

Not one person on this planet would look at me and think “she’s an athlete”. I grew up doing any and everything athletic and it came pretty easy to me and I excelled at pretty much anything I wanted to, cause I had no fear and I was always taught do your best and do it harder and faster each time for yourself no one else, improvise adapt and overcome in every situation. I forgot that in many aspects of my life. I spent a lot of time just focused on surviving, myself always came last, and everything and everyone else before me. I’d been miserable about my weight and felt about the same as I looked. Kept saying I’ve tried everything but knowing I never put real effort towards any of it. I got diagnosed with arthritis in my knee told to do PT but told my husband I need something that’s just mine so I wanna join a gym but it has to be a CrossFit gym, cause I’ve been wanting to try it forever but I’ve been to scared. I’m out of shape and old and fat now, but I wanna give it a shot.

Enter Bluestone CrossFit to my life. I didn’t know shit about CrossFit or how I would fit in at any gym or how it would fit into my life. I’m pretty sure everyone in my life thought she’ll do it 2-3 months get busy and it will fall to the side again. But from day one level method made it to where I didn’t feel old fat and out of shape I felt motivated to get better to work through my physical pain to not just fix my problems but improve as a whole. This gym is the embodiment of the only thing I was taught and preached my whole life

Improvise, adapt and overcome !!!  It brought the athlete back to me. I’ve had a few injuries that slowed me down but never stopped me, I had a few that I was able to just work through cause it is my priority again., I am my priority again!!!! The people here check on me when I miss a WOD and truly are concerned checking on me when I’m injured and cheering me on when I’m here I don’t have time to hang out but id cut for them like the old school friends I’ve had for years cause they all, WE all, genuinely care for each other and that’s the exact opposite of what I thought I’d find at a gym. I haven’t come close to my goals as far as how I look, but I’ve surpassed many goals and surprised myself with what I can do. It’s the beginning for me here and I can’t wait to see where I end up cause it will be further than I ever imagined. Failure is literally impossible at this gym cause the people,coaches and mates, are holding you up even when you think you can’t go anymore. I found myself again here and this version of me I like thanks to the work and the kinship I found in the box. -Andi
